About HSF

Born only months before the premier of Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Whatever James has been a Star Wars fan since he can remember and a cross-stitcher since 2005. He has blogged his personal stitching experiences since 2008 and in 2009 his Star Wars Valentine won a Best of Craftster award. Despite his multiple Star Wars tattoos, collections and even a daughter named after the expanded universe character Mara Jade, he only combined his love for all things Star Wars with his passion for needlework in 2011.

Originally the idea was to design and cross stitch a new piece inspired by Star Wars every month for a year. The project quickly grew into a few “centerpieces” but the idea for HSF was already there. While doing research to find what kind of pieces had already been done, I came across so many cool ways of needlecrafting our love for Star Wars but I could not find a single place that focused on it the way other sites do.

Han Stitched First is the only (and best) place on the internet to find needlework projects, patterns and information inspired by the Star Wars universe.
